So Mamma Mia was at the Cleveland Playhouse for this week only and Jenn got tickets on discount from her school. I was going to write a review about the play, but instead I'm going to write about something else.
Tunnel Vision
The parking lot at the Cleveland playhouse is a jumbled mess to get out of. The last time we were there, we had to wait for an hour to get out of the parking lot, and we were on level 3 of 5. Needless to say, once the play was over, our goal was to get out of there as fast as possible.
You know those people who stand in fire? The people who forget to switch adds or move around because they're too focused on one thing? Turns out, those people will exhibit those same qualities in real life. Apparently, some of the people attending the play have a difficult time handling concepts like "slower people on the right" and "GTFO of my way dude standing in our row."
This is why car accidents are more common amongst elderly drivers. Elderly drivers are the people in your raid that stand in fire no matter what you do. They fumble over their rotations and wipe the raid, crashing into a hotdog stand or school. I hate directing this at older people because anyone can have tunnel vision and in turn, suck at driving.
Here's a rule of thumb: If you don't have the wherewithal to make room for people moving through a group of people, maybe talking to some random person isn't your best option. Just like driving, if your reactions aren't as highly tuned, you should focus on driving rather than tweeting to your friends that you just crapped your pants.
Just have some decency for others around you.

In other news, Kittra Wynn Coomer stole the show as Rosie. Absolutely hilarious. All and all it was a great musical, but I wouldn't pay $60 to see it a second time. For those who haven't seen it, I would say it's worth seeing once.
